On September 4, I did a post about Larry Doss at the Humboldt County Fair with a 5th District Supervisor sign. I did follow up and was waiting for him to make a decision; to get the paperwork or an official announcement.
Given the two Harbor District posts today and the incident in Mckinleyville, I decided to go ahead and do this post today.
Doss has been out talking to constituents asking them about core concerns. He isn't even a current Supervisor but listening to the public you serve is what all elected officials should do.
Economy, public safety and solutions to homelessness are three major concerns people have bought up to Doss. Being the First District Harbor Commisioner, a long time businessman and community member; Humboldt is home. Doss is invested in the community's prosperity and success.
Doss was at the press conference when Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory and Representative Jared Huffman were in Eureka. He was very appreciative that they took the time to come to Humboldt to discuss offshore wind investments and clean energy jobs.
