Former correctional deputy's jail contraband preliminary hearing continued again


On September 15, former correctional deputy Ricardo Aguirre Perez's jail contraband case was continued by all defense attorneys to 11/9/21. This is the second continuance requested by defense.

Mr. Russ Clanton had been originally appointed to represent Perez but Mr. Joe Judge is representing him now.  One co-defendant Caleb Hoffarth is represented by Mr. Zachary Curtis. 

Mr. Curtis is currently in trial on another case which is expected to last another two weeks. With Mr. Curtis' unavailbility; the continuance applied to all co-defendants.

Selina Chavez Robles, another co-defendant is represented by Mr. Victor Campos. The court appointed  Ms. Kathleen Bryson to represent Penni Hoffarth.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees appeared on the case today.

Charges are in previous post. They are different for each defendant. 

11/9/21: Continuance requested by District Attorney to 1/24/22, no objection by defense. Deputy District Attorney Jane Mackie appeared on the case for the People.
