Rio Dell seeks information on missing 14 year old and this suspect vehicle
The Rio Dell Police Department is currently working on a missing person case with serious implications.
Our best information at the current time is as follows: On May 26, 2020, at about 8:45 PM, Jlyn Roybal, age 14, was walking on Wildwood Avenue with her sister and another friend.
A silver sedan pulled to the curb alongside the three young persons. The driver, a white male in his 20s to 30s, spoke to Jlyn as if he knew her. Jlyn got into the passenger seat of the car.
The driver then tried to force her sister into the car also. The sister was able to free herself, however, and the driver returned to his vehicle and fled in a northerly direction.
The driver was wearing a white shirt, very baggy blue jeans, and brown work boots. He has dark hair that may be shaved on the sides and longer on top. His vehicle may have out‐of‐state license plates, possibly from Oregon, and it has damage on the right, front bumper.
Jlyn was wearing a blue shirt with “California” written across it, black pants, and black shoes. If anyone has knowledge of Jlyn’s whereabouts, the suspect, or his vehicle, please contact Sergeant John Beauchaine or Officer Crystal Landry at the (707) 764‐5641.
