EPD responds fast and has a suspect who followed local news anchor Nazy Javid home

1:49: I just spoke to EPD Crime Analyst Briytany Powell and they are following leads, investigating but no arrests yet.

UPDATE: Eureka Police have a suspect! At this time I want to thank you all for your help in this search as it has yielded such swift response. If I may ask one more favor, I ask that you please refrain from posting the man's name or photo or any identifiable information online. "

"While this was an incredibly useful tool to get the investigation started, I would hate for the detective's case (and my safety) to be jeopardized by not going through proper legal channels. I am so grateful to those of you who helped get the word out and who have demonstrated what a fantastic community of supporters and police we have in Eureka."

Should you have any additional information, you may contact EPD's Detective Bise at 707-441-4109.

Thank you again for being a community we can all count on. I'm so grateful to have you as friends.

BOLO CONTENT: Deleted in the interest of justice. Thank you for understanding."

In her original facebook post that had the bolo content Ms. Javid, explained that this man followed her home twice and knows where she lives. He showed up a third time at the station.

Ms. Javid has since added a recap of that post in the update: UPDATE: Eureka Police have a suspect! RECAP OF ORIGINAL POST: "A man driving a car similar to this has been stalking me, and I was terrified so I put out the BOLO to find out who the driver is so police could locate the suspect."
