Today Governor Brown declared a state of emergency related to an outbreak of the hepatitis A virus. San Diego, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles counties have reported 577 cases to date, with 18 fatalities.
Most cases are in homeless and/or drug-using populations. To date, there have been NO related Hep A cases reported in Humboldt County.Humboldt County Public Health continues to regularly communicate with the California Department of Public Health around this issue. Vaccine is in limited supply and is being prioritized by the state for areas with significant active transmission. We are releasing guidance to local medical providers this afternoon, based on recommendations from the state. We also have enhanced surveillance efforts in place to detect any increase in symptoms coming into local emergency rooms.
Can we relate the cases with "all the illegals sneaking in and setting up residence????" Follow the trail of illegals and you'll find hippie.
ReplyDeleteWatched a pasted out addict laying in landscaping for hour's with his pants down scratching his ass and balls then rubbing his eyes, face and mouth. That's how we can relate the case's. Avoid touching anything, anywhere, anytime. These people touch everything you touch.
ReplyDeleteThankyou. Nobody else is covering this. Should be national news; it's right close to Hollywood.
ReplyDeleteGov. brown should do something to stop the outbreak, like providing them an affordable place to stay and shower, so we don't need a state of emergency.
Glad we're sort of insulated up here.
This hep virus is unusual for the US. Its type Hb is found in the medterranen and Africa regions. Could this outbreak be due to the recent relocation of 1000's of muslims into California?
ReplyDeleteSays right there in the story Hep "A".
