Sotolongo was in custody for homicide for a case filed in March 2016; why did he get a dismissal for an assault case filed later?

The above photo is of the 2016 homicide case, victim Roger Yale. A hearing for that case was held on October 26 and Gearold Sotolongo refused to come to court. This homicide case, according to court records, was filed on 3/11/16.
Why was probation that was revoked for a 2013 case reinstated on 7/8/16? And why was an assault and battery case; victim Allen Matthew Jay Sterling, dismissed on 7/8/16? The assault and battery case was filed 6/7/16.

Sotolongo has a hearing in the homicide case on 11/30. I found these other records late Friday afternoon, while I was looking up cases. Will check with the D.A.'s office on Monday.
