Humboldt Bay Firefighters fourth annual Bark in the Park next Saturday

Humboldt Bay Firefighters are proud to announce we will be hosting our fourth annual dog-friendly “Bark in The Park” 5K Run/Walk on October 22nd, at 10am. This event will take place on a scenic 3.1 mile loop in Eureka’s Sequoia Park.

There will be live music, a raffle, and fun for the whole family! You can run or walk with or without a dog. All dogs participating in this event will be on leashes and must be current on their vaccinations.
The proceeds from this event will benefit a different animal charity each year. It is our goal to raise money through business sponsors, donations, and race participants. This year’s animal charity is the Friends for Life Animal Rescue. Friends for Life provides a spay and neuter program, fosters cats and kittens in need, and maintains an emergency medical fund for the Humboldt County Animal Shelter.
Race entry fee is $20 and each participant will be entered in a raffle of great prizes from awesome local businesses. You can register online at “active.com”, there will be Race Day Registration from 8-9:45 in Sequoia Park, or you can pick up an application at Humboldt Bay Fire Headquarters Station at 533 C. Street in Eureka.
So, “why not go for a run with your best friend?” and support a great local animal charity. Come to “Bark in The Park” on October 22nd ! For more information, please call Humboldt Bay Fire, (707) 441-4000.
