Renters workshop at Betty Chinn Day Center attracts a full house
Today from 11 to 12:30, a free Renter's Rights Community Workshop was held at
the Betty Kwan Chinn Day Center, located at 133 Seventh St. in Eureka. The place was packed. There were seats for 42 people, 38 people had shown up by 11 and by 11:15, the count was 44 with a couple people still walking in. The presenter Gregory Holtz, was an attorney from Legal Services of Northern California
Attendees had an opportunity to learn about where to look and how to apply for housing as well as the laws governing landlord responsibilities and privacy issues.
