Wonder how much of that has to do with the good ole boy owner having the support of two Humboldt County Board of Supervisors?
North Coast Ministries is located at 321 W. Wabash Avenue in Eureka. A website address on google is no longer operational. to "Agapé Home Care is a service branch of North Coast Ministries" according to Agape's website. "Agapé Home Care was founded in 1992 by Trent Zelanick, who serves as Chairman of North Coast Ministries and Director of Agapé Home Care."
In December 2023 a class action lawsuit was filed by Brian Susmilch against North Coast Ministries. Susmilch has retained Aegis Law Firm located in Irvine. Allegations include failure to pay minimum wages, overtime wages and other employment and labor violations.
5/3/24: Demurrer to cross complaint overruled and motion to strike cross complaint denied.
5/17/24: Motion to file first amended complaint granted. CMC on 8/5/24.
8/5/24: Another CMC on 12/6.
12/6/24: A protective order filed 11/4/24 was approved by Judge Timothy Canning. Judge Canning confirmed a joint case management statement was received. Another CMC scheduled for 4/11/25.
It is right there in the health inspection report Lost Coast Outpost posted. LOCO didn't even bother to credit Times Standard who posted this three hours ago. Or the Reddit discussion. Both neglected to mention the Tanski ownership of Moonstone Grill and other businesses they own. Typical LOCO and TS to post selective information. Some Reddit users mentioned the Tanski connection although one user mentioned the former Wine Spot instead of Wine Cellar which is another business the Tanski family owns. I can understand the confusion because the Tanski's were considering the former Wine Spot location in 2018 but that did not materialize.
The Reddit user edited their post. Throw, I know what you meant. You provided more information than the so called "local" rags that are funded and supported by the good ole boys. The Moonstone report is probably a tip off by some insider or someone with an agenda trying to prop up the failing outlets the good ole boys want around because they control and own them. The good ole boys fund anyone who strokes their egos and gives them meaningless "Reader's Choice" awards.
I posted about the Tanski taking over as Moonstone Grill owners in 2021. The Tanski family is most well known for Gabriels but they own the Wine Cellar and the Moonstone Grill.
This morning local attorney Michael Acosta's 2020 case was on for VOP hearing and demurrer. Last month, Mendocino Judge Ann Moorman summarily revoked Acosta's probation. This means the conditions of probation stay in effect, but it stops the clock running on the probation period.
Today, Retired Visting Judge Leonard LaCasse told Deputy DA Alex Grotewohl there was no answer filed by the DA's office. Where was Deputy DA Ian Harris who prosecuted this case?

After court, I received an email from Acosta. You can read and compare it to the court minutes. There are atleast two obvious errors. As for Acosta's challenging Judge LaCasse on the law; I will wait and see what the numerous California attorneys who read my blog have to say.
The error of Judge LaCasse's name is probably a typo by Acosta. It was Judge Moorman who summarily revoked probation. In my last post, there are court minutes and not Judge Kaleb Cockrum as inferred by Acosta. His warrant is not in public or e court records and he did not provide me with that evidence.
Today's election update shows April Van Dyke still leading with 58.69% and leading by 3,637 votes. This is just 238 more votes. The final election night report was two days ago. Kreis now has 38.56%; Jessica Watson 2.76%. The spoiler candidate made a slight difference in the other candidates' numbers with a minimal amount of votes and is the failed Arnie Klein and Matthew Owen of this election.
First District Supervisor Rex Bohn and Second District Supervisor maintain their lead. With just 238 more votes in this update; nothing has changed because those in the lead maintain it and by a significant amount.
I already reported yesterday that approximately 10,000 to 13,000 ballots were left to be processed.

Former District Attorney Maggie Fleming is back in the office. Unfortunately only for special projects and part time. The DA's office could use Maggie's management skills and professionalism.
Under current DA Stacey Eads, incompetent Candace Myers and failed write in spoiler Jessica Watson are being assigned cases while experienced Deputy DAs Trent Timm and Luke Bernthal are being underutilized. It is almost as if Deputy DA Roger Rees is in charge. Many people, including those in the courthouse suspect Rees was behind the Watson entry into the recent judge's race and behind the petty disqualification by most of the DA's office of Judge Kelly Neel.
I also heard Gregory Kreis maybe moving. This might be his plan B I wrote about months ago. Or being forced into facing reality that he can no longer deny after his pathetic performance in the judge's race.
Like a coward, Kreis thinks can move somewhere else and continue to ruin lives. Justice will only be served if he is removed from the bench as a judge, disbarred as an attorney and ends up penniless, homeless and shunned like a pariah for the lives he and his enablers have destroyed. With his name in national headlines, why would anyone hire him?
Will Tanya Ellis move with him or is she eyeing better prospects? Is her bring all dressed in black yesterday a sign?
This morning a man robbed Umpqua Bank on 5th Street in Eureka this morning, then walked a block to the Courthouse, went up to security on 5th Street, said he had a gun and cash and that he wanted to turn himself in. Eureka Police Department were already on their way and had been looking for Johnathan Edward Lee Hening Security contacted HCSO. Hening was detained until EPD arrived and took him into custody. No gun was found by EPD but initial reports from people from a few people in the courthouse claimed Hening had a gun. Hening was booked into the jail for PC 211 robbery.
Hening has a previous conviction for assault and was granted probation. Court minutes arent available but e court lists Retired Judge Christopher Wilson as the one who sentenced him.
A few people reached out to me just now. I contacted EPD PIO Laura Montagna. She confirmed this happened. EPD issued a press release at 6:57 p.m.
There are approximately 10,000 to 13,000 ballots left to count. Many people waited until yesterday or last minute to drop of ballots. The next election update is Thursday, March 7 at 2 p.m. I already did some follow up with Humboldt elections as well as talking to people since last night's final report.
There are 648 unresolved write in in the Humboldt Superior Court judge race, even if all of them go to last minute spoiler Jessica Watson; it will not make a difference. In the final election report, Ms. Van Dyke has 60.39 % and 10, 495 votes. Gregory Kreis has 39.61% and 6,883 votes. Add in the write ins and Ms. Van Dyke still wins by 58%. She has 25% lead after the final election report. She will lead in the uncounted ballots.
If Kreis and Watson want to be petty and childish which they are and wait until tomorrow's update at 2 p.m. and next Thursday's update at 2 p.m for the inevitable, they can continue to reiterate the fact that they are losers personally and professionally. Or they can stop wasting everyone's time and face reality. They lost. The good ole boys, gals, lawyers, law enforcement, Humboldt connected endorsers and political irrelevant relics like Salzshit lost.
Kreis, Watson and the good ole boy chosen local media, their ads, their smears and lies couldn't save Humboldt's Humpty Dumpty.
The judge's race in this primary election shows that the good ole boys and gals can be defeated with the right candidate, a great grassroots team, independent reporting and the power of the people.
