Human trafficking suspect Uonan Uonan aka "Chicago John" already has a criminal case. I first reported post in November 2024 that settlement discussions were ongoing with the DA's office in his criminal case.
Uonan also has a civil lawsuit filed against him by Michelle Hill. The complaint was for "breach of contract, open book and account stated." Mr. Marco Rodriguez is Hill's attorney.
There really has been nothing to warrant a new post in either case and expect more delays in the civil case. Humboldt's Ms. Cyndy Day-Wilson out; on 9/19/25 Sacramento attorney Mr. Mark Reichel substituted in to represent Uonan in the civil case.
There was a case management conference and motion to compel scheduled for 9/19/25. The CMC was continued to 1/23/26. The motion to compel is trailing.
