I knew this lawsuit against Alice Abler, one other person and Eureka City Schools was in the works. It was filed by Mr. Paul Gallegos and involves a minor, Eureka Councilmember Renee DeLoach's son. The minor's name is in court documents which are public record as is this court listing.
No attorney was listed in e court but I checked court documents and Eureka City Council has hired Mr. Nick Kloeppel, Mitchell Law Firm in Eureka.
There was a case management conference today. Given the sensitive nature & details, there will not be details on FB.
I reached out to all parties. Eureka City Schools responded confirming Mr. Kloeppel is representing them. Councilmember DeLoach said she "cannot comment on the case at this time."
The case has been moved to federal court.
Mr. Gallegos was not in court today. The case has been moved to federal court. Status hearing of the case in federal court is scheduled for 9/21/26.
