I walked past them initially and then something made me stop. There are many people who protest, rally hold signs outside the Courthouse. All this family wants is some answers about Roy Allen Tsatoke.
3:33 p.m. Heather, mother spoke with First District Supervisor Rex Bohn 20 minutes ago. Heather has been here since last September in Humboldt searching for leads. Rex said he would put a call in to Humboldt Sheriff William Honsal on Heather's behalf. He also suggested they attend Humboldt Board Of Supervisor meetings.
Walt, her spouse, Heather, Roy's girlfriend came up from Redding yesterday. They may not be here tomorrow.Just found out BOS meeting for Korean war veteran.
No other media showed up, they were supposed to, where are they?
Heather just wants to know why this was not investigated.
I reached out to Sheriff Honsal and HCSO Lt. Jesse Taylor. Sheriff Honsal promptly responded, "I spoke with the family and will be meeting with them in the coming days to discuss the case. "

The Arcata Police Department is marking the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of Roy Tsatoke who was last seen on 9/22/24 on Hiller Rd in McKinleyville. Despite extensive investigation and public outreach, his whereabouts remain unknown.
Roy is a Native American male adult who was 25 years old at the time of his disappearance. Roy is 5 feet 5 inches tall and has a thin build with brown eyes and curly brown hair past the shoulders. Roy was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.
Detectives believe Roy received a ride from a still unidentified person from the area of Hiller Rd in McKinleyville towards Willow Creek.
Anyone with information about Roy Tsatoke's disappearance is asked to contact detectives at the Arcata Police Department.
