I did this post on July 19 on one of convicted felon Allen Keith Perkins' many Humboldt cases which went to trial.

The previous post is very detailed with court records, coverage of the trial in CR2303622, Perkins his writ of habeas corpus petition which was denied and a civil lawsuit he has against the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office. Perkins has so many cases that he has also filed a civil lawsuit against HCSO and there is a case management conference on 11/3/25. I have included some court documents in that previous post.
Since they are written in pencil, the scanned versions in e court are difficult to read but allegations include claims of injuries, Perkins Quran being disposed in the trash. Perkins has filed three case management conference statements in that lawsuit; the last two were rejected and returned because not on proper form.
Perkins is not someone I covered or would cover but just based on the coverage of CR2303622 and the civil lawsuit, this is another Luigi Messina wasting court time and resources.
The jury started deliberations in CR2303622 on 7/23. Jurors deliberated for an hour. They returned on 7/24 and had a verdict. Detailed court minutes are not up yet but the court clerk updated the charges tab with results. Unless there is something significant or new to add, I am not adding those court minutes.
Perkins was acquitted on Count 1 robbery; guilty Count 2 criminal threats, guilty Count 3, vandalism and guilty Count 4 petty theft and Perkins admitted Ct 4 special allegation.
A felony conviction for criminal threats in California can be 16 months, 2 years, or 3 years in state prison, with a fine of up to $10,000.
A robbery conviction in California can be 3 , 4, or 6 years in state prison so Perkins should thank his attorney for that acquittal.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor. Deputy Conflict Counsel Zach Curtis is Perkins attorney.
Sentencing is on 8/21.
8/21/25: Deputy DA Brandon Boozari appeared on the case for the People. In CR2303622, defense motion to continue sentencing to 9/25 granted. CR2500428 + CR2401907 + CR2402006 + CR2402167 are trailing. CV2501130 Perkins vs HCSO has a case management conference on 11/3/25.
9/25/25: Sentencing continued by defense to 10/21.
