Altered DVD players, hard drive with folder titled "jail bait" and Stobaugh snitching on his roomate in just two hours of hearing on child porn allegation

**This is court coverage on a sexual violent predator and potential release into the community. Some of the court testimony that will be added is graphic **

This is a continuation of my earlier morning post on Richard Stobaugh. We are on a short break. 

Stobaugh looks different on Zoom. He is dressed in a khaki shirt and seated at a table. At times, he took notes and at one point, nodded during a detective's testimony.

So far Sgt.Gerardo Paredes from Coalinga State Hospital and former Coalinga State Hospital Detective Sandy Herr have testified about laltered DVD players with serial numbers scratched off, a hard drive with folder titled "jail bait" and Stobaugh blaming his roomate for the child porn and snitching on him smuggling meth. 

Ms. Herr left Coalinga, went to the California Department of Insurance and is now working for the California Department of Justice.

Coalinga Officer Hill Magpayo who interviewed Stobaugh twice, will continue his testimony after lunch. The officer provided graphic description of the underage minors and sexual acts they were engaged in on the devices seized from Stobaugh's room.

So far, there has been no indication of who has been designated to take photos. We are hoping to get clarification after lunch. Judge Kaleb Cockrum provided direction when court resumed in the afternoon.

There has already been some graphic testimony about the porn on a hard drive that was in Stobaugh's possession. Images from the hard drive seized from Stobaugh's room at the State Hospital were sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. "There were two hits that were positive for a series of pornography."

Based on how it is going, the hearing could continue to tomorrow, don't know yet.

So far, the summary is Humboldt law enforcement, especially EPD and HCSO, and DA Investigators are better prepped and testify well in court and are better than state hospital and some detectives at CA DOJ; the State Hospital moved another patient to Sacramento County despite allegations of smuggling meth and possessing porn; and that State Hospital law enforcement either dropped the ball or treatment did not known about Stobaugh watching and/or allegedly possesing porn.

We are only two plus hours into testimony and DA has established Stobaugh has no credibility and watched child porn. I also believe they have established possession. State Hospital officers and doctor's attempt on damage control for dropping the ball have failed and that is my opinion and the hearing isn't even over. From today's Patients at the State Hospital work round internet access, child porn is traded and drugs are smuggled in and sometimes staff is involved.

2:45 p.m. Dr. Paul Murdoch, a SVP evaluator for Coalinga State Hospital has interviewed Stobaugh for the annual report since 2018 and diagnosed Stobaugh with "paraphilic disorder, substance disorder and anti social petsonality disorder." Deception is one of the characteristics of ASD. Stobaugh has a 28 score of psychopathy which is "high." Dr. Murdoch said, "Mr. Stobaugh does have a history of deceipt and manipulation."

Dr. Murdoch and Dr. Rob Cureton who Liberty Healthcare's Clinical Director for the CONREP SVP program both still recommend conditional release. Ms. Timm brought the receipts. I will try and add a couple of examples this evening or later tonight. If you did not read this previous post, you should. I trust the Humboldt DA's office; I do not trust the CA Department of State Hospitals, Liberty Healthcare or anyone paid by them to watch out for the public.

Dr. Murdoch and Dr. Cureton were clueless about the 2018 porn possession. Murdoch thinks a predator can be rehabilitated. Dr  Cureton's excuse was that Stobaugh was not charged and convicted. His excuse of monitoring is the same BS heard in SVP Joshua Cooley's case. Ms. Timm had receipts. Stobaugh's past record includes a raping a seven and half month pregnant woman while a 20 month toddler was in the home. When another Stobaugh victim faked a heart attack, Stobaugh asked the mother how old her child was and paid stooge aka "expert" Dr Murdoch thinks Stobaugh isn't a pedophile and a rapist who according to Dr. Murdoch can be conditionally released. A pyschologist shouldn't have the title "Dr." and Murdoch's dismissive remark about making a decision on science rather than emotion is insulting. Both these "Dr'" are paid, psycho babble stooges performing for the joke that passes as CA Department of State Hospitals and profit based Liberty HealthCare.  If they feel Stobaugh is safe to be released, maybe he can live next door to them?

Stobaugh's bff Robert Abelman who he threw under the bus is now in Sacramento County. The same patient who was allegedly smuggling meth and passing around porn according to Stobaugh.

4:23 p.m. Attorneys presenting arguments. 

4:30 p.m. Judge Cockrum will issue his ruling tomorrow at 9:15. Exclusive information only here. Depending on Judge Cockrum's ruling tomorrow, the placement hearing on 7/14 could be vacated.

I will add more more details and testimony probably this weekend. Other local media has covered some of the quotes and details but I will add some they have not.
