Justin Charles Mixon arrested by DA Investigator Ryan Hill and booked on four sex crimes charges involving a minor

28 year old Justin Charles Mixon arrested by DA Investigator Ryan Hill yesterday for PC 288.3(a) contacting a minor with the intent to commit felonies involving sexual conduct; PC 288.4(b) arranging a meeting with a minor (someone under 18) for lewd purposes; PC 288.4(a)(1)arrange a meeting with a minor with the intent to engage in lewd or lascivious behavior and PC 664/288(a) attempted lewd or lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14. Bail at booking is $210,000.

DA filed charges on 7/30 was arraigned that afternoon. Public Defender appointed; Visiting Judge Ksenia Tsenin set bail at $50,000 without prejudice. OR bail on 8/1; preliminary hearing on 8/8.

2025 case:

In addition to his 2025 case, Mixon has two 2023 cases transferred from Mendocino County. Mixon has a family law case in Mendocino County. He filed the case to "establish parental relationship."

8/1/25: Supervised release denied by Visiting Judge Ksenin Tsenin but despite Deputy DA Rebecca Buckley-Stein's objections; Judge Tsenin granted Deputy Public Defender David Celli's request and bail was reduced to $25,000.

8/8 date vacated. Preliminary hearing rescheduled to 9/18.

9/18/25: Preliminary hearing continued by defense for possible resolution. Setting of preliminary hearing/ change of plea on 9/24.

9/24/25: Preliminary hearing on 10/21.
