Today I encountered two types of people; I chose to post and acknowledge those not expecting anything but deserve my thanks for being the light

There is a song called "The Summons". Due to copyright, I cannot post the entire lyrics.  I have shared the first two verses and the last  verse.

Will you come and follow me

If I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know
And never be the same?
Will you let my love be shown,
Will you let my name be known,
Will you let my life be grown
In you and you in me?

Will you leave yourself behind
If I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind
And never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare
Should your life attract or scare?
Will you let me answer prayer
In you and you in me?

Lord, your summons echoes true
When you but call my name.
Let me turn and follow you
And never be the same.
In your company I'll go
Where your love and footsteps show.
Thus I'll move and live and grow
In you and you in me.

As you read this post, if you chose to read the words in front of you and imagine Mason Matteoli playing the piano and Joelle Matteoli singing it; that is the better version in my opinion than others online.

Mason, who I have known for years used to say to me, "John, this is your song." I would agree that it does apply to my journey; specifically in Humboldt.

Today I encountered two types of people; I chose to post and acknowledge those not expecting anything but deserve my thanks for being the light.

HCSO Sgt. Josh Comer, HCSO Deputy Leslie Borges, Deputy DA Roger Rees, Deputy DA Whitney Timm, Deputy DA Carolyn Schaffer, Deputy DA Rebecca Buckley-Stein, DA Chief Investigator Kyla Baxley and City of Eureka Assistant Manager Pam Powell for their kindness in what has been a very tough day in an extremely stressful week.
