Local attorney Michael Acosta hasn't submitted anything as I publish this post. I check frequently but he has until March 16. So far, it is still Stacey Eads and Adrian Kamada running for Humboldt County District Attorney.
Same with Judge Christopher Wilson's seat. He is retiring. So far, it is just Steve Steward and Ben McLaughlin.
In the 4th District, Natalie Arroyo and Mike Newman turned papers in; Kim Bergel is waiting until next week. Couple more candidates pulled paperwork, but haven't turned anything in.
Other races where incumbent is running need to file by today. The elections office was very busy. The staff is always very helpful and provide each person with information with excellent customer service.
