Rex, since you like to know who is using your courthouse steps, did Tiffany Hunt Nielsen get your permission for tomorrow?

This is just one example of proof of what Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez said at the last BOS meeting and today.

So that is just one example of your bs response Rex today to LOCO about the Auditor Controller not providing proof. She also answered about deadlines and the report. You were hovering over her during the speech today. Do you have amnesia?

Rex, did your gentleman friends get paid? You were pissed at Ms. Paz Dominguez about that and I just want to get all the facts. There are others in the community who want to know.

In the interest of proof and transparency that you value so much, please tell me and the public who these gentleman friends are. These are County funds and the taxpayers should know unless there is a reason to deny access to that information.

Rex, since media accuracy is so important to you, maybe you'd like to take some time from hanging outside on the Courthouse steps and give Sean Quincey and Elishia Hayes a crash course in how to respond to media and PRA requests and to do so for all requests and not just to whoever you County Gods approve of these days.

In order for media to do their job, one needs access to information and sometimes PRAs are needed for verification. The County as well as City of Eureka have issues in how they respond to PRA requests and I am not the only one who has encountered problems. You can be an attorney, a constituent, it all depends on what you are asking for and if the Humboldt powers deign to answer you.

"We couldn't find documents responsive to your request" is a common excuse or just making the process impossible by constantly asking you to narrow your request when the information requested is inconvenient to the City or County.

The CAO's office answers to the Board of Supervisors. Thomas Edrington has asked a PRA he requested be published to the public. It was refrenced in the Auditor Controller's speech today. You keep saying she has not provided proof yet your Board keeps stonewalling any effort to view documents by the public. Those who have an open mind should be able to see information for themselves. Why has the CAO not granted Edrington's request? Rex, why won't you and the CAO publish this as Edrington has asked you to do? It is his request.

Thomas or anyone else is free to share any information we request with other media or the public. So how long is the County going to play the control game of what the public should or can see?

You Supervisors gave yourselves a pay raise when voters and businesses have suffered due to COVID closures and the rest of us are trying to rebuild in a dying local economy. What did you all do to earn that raise?

Benefitting your family, friends and funders is not prosperity for all. Growing the government bureaucracy in Humboldt does not benefit the employees not in your friends, family, yes people clique. How many friends, husbands, wives, sons of current and former County employees work for the County? I know who they are but most of the public is clueless. People continue to comment on Facebook without putting in the research or even bothering to read information provided. Nepotism in County hiring is obvious to anyone with a brain and well known to "locals."

You think you owe no answers to the people who pay your outrageous salaries? Is it work when you all guffaw around with your buddies at local businesses or wine events or barbeques or campaign kickoffs? Your psychophants make sure they praise their County saviors on Facebook for being so responsive. That is not everyone's experience with access or getting help from any of the current Supervisors.

Rex you said the "media is so accurate" in one of your Facebook posts. You specifically said that in response to someone about the airport and you said "it was fixed." Was it "fixed" the day you posted that on Facebook?

After that, there was an article in the Times Standard on February 24 which quoted you Rex. It a mentioned a rent increase and a decision the Board of Supervisors have yet to make on whether to keep providing fuel at the airports. So Rex was the TS "accurate" or "inaccurate?" Was the "media" that called you out inaccurate or accurate?

Looks to me like the TS article had some beneficial information to you and the County and March 8 BOS decisions could have been influenced by the pushback you received by other media raising community concerns. The airport issues were discussed at a recent meeting. Was that on the day you said, "it was fixed" on Facebook. That is a rhetorical question Rex.

Rex, people say you are one of the Supervisors out and about. Lately, you are at every campaign kickoff, even those you are not a part and especially when media is around. What's with crashing every judicial kickoff? Are you now in charge of courts or trying to insert yourself in judicial races? Why are you , Michelle Bushnell and Marian Brady endorsing any judicial candidate? Who cares about your opinions regarding the courts?

None of you have a clue about the courts. This board hired David Marcus or appointed Luke Brownfield the Public Defender despite being given feedback there were better candidate because you all think you are kings and queens and can do whatever you like.

How much have all the lawsuits and the Magney debacle, the Blanck debace, the David Marcus fiasco cost the taxpayers? Don't even start about the Auditor Controller after the money the County and Board has wasted for decades.

Karen Paz Dominguez has been in office for 4 years. How long have Virginia and you been in office Rex? How long have some of the department heads been in their positions?

This Board failed to check out CliftonLarsenAllen and hired an audit firm that has been sued and paid out millions. And this Board just approved an extension. So sit down BOS and tell all your psychophants parroting the BOS talking points on every Auditor Controller post to shut up unless they want to pay the rest of the Humboldt back for your poor choices and decisions.

Let's see how loud you are if that potential litigation mentioned in closed session or other lawsuits are filed. Who is going to stand by the BOS then or will you all throw each other under the bus? Seen enough of that since 2010.

At one of the candidate announcements, someone asked Rex why he was there. He said, "I wanted to see who was using my courthouse steps. Rex, the steps are not yours, the Courthouse is not yours and your salary is paid by the public.

Rex, you are in the news and post on Facebook more than any other Supervisor but you have recently cut back on those Facebook posts and the comments are way down. Why? Unless your posts are restricted and I am not seeing all of them.

At first you were accessible to all, as you have stayed in this position for several terms; the access and friendliness is now selective. That is how politicians are. There are a lot of people who feel that way. People who regularly vote; people who the good ole boys count on every election. They see the change and they want you gone. They say you used the goodwill of your volunteer and community work to get into office and parlayed it into long term politician career.

Virginia saw the writing on the wall; so did Maggie and they chose not to run for re-election. Ryan listened to the bubble, psychophants and his ego and he lost to Steve Madrone.

You once accused Matthew Owen of wanting attention and wanting to be somebody in this town. You said this to me. You are well known in Humboldt Rex. What is up with the way over the top, shaking hands and inserting yourself in every situation and at every event and wanting constant attention on Facebook?

So what media is accurate Rex? The ones like LOCO who seem to get quite a bit of information and attention from you these days? The ones that regurgitate the BOS stance on the Auditor Controller, ignore issues that are inconvenient to the BOS and to the yes men/women's who anonymously or anonymously attack anyone who stands up to the Humboldt connected?
