"Are you asking me to prioritize these invoices over the 1,200 others awaiting payment? You already know the reasons for any delay so I won’t list them here." Humboldt Auditor Controller Karen Paz Dominguez to First District Supervisor Rex Bohn.

Yes, Karen, how dare you get in the way of Rex or any other Supervisor and their psychophants pontificating on Facebook about how responsive these Supervisors are? Don't you know you aren't supposed to question the "Humboldt way"?

I am still waiting for Rex to answer who his gentleman friends are. I am still waiting for DHHS to explain why they didn't investigate fraud. DHHS blows off a lot of complaints. Even when you get a County Supervisor to intervene. A lot of local motels got money to house people,a lot of local property owners rent to DHHS clients over locals who work and are struggling. Rex and DHHS, lets see who these people are that needed to get "priority".

Below are two email exchanges. One is about Cloney's.

I used to go that pharmacy because I wanted to support the Cloneys. I save a lot more money since I stopped using them. Don't ask me to support local business when you charge more and and have rude employees. Cloney's had contracts with local skilled nursing facilities, county including Medi-Cal. The Cloneys are a large, well, to do generational family.

Funny, how it is okay for the Cloneys and others well off to get construction contracts, motel owners get COVID money, certain restaurant owners get COVID funds and several others to benefit from government money but they and their well to do spawn whine about pensions and others who need government assistance.

Most of this County is struggling financially due to inept leadership just watching out for their family, friends and choosing government money instead of supporting private industry and small businesses. The local "conservatives" are so full of it; what changed when they were in charge?

Karen, you dared to question what someone told me was "Humboldt's social industrial complex", the Ingomar Crowd, the Humboldt connected and their buddies. This County does not know how to survive without government money. I too thought rules, professionalism, fairness, speaking up,watching out for the public is a good thing. Not in Murder Mountain county which makes the Wild Wild West seem tame.

Rules are not for the Humboldt connected, the Supervisor's favored or Department heads. What were you thinking?! It is your fault, my fault, the fault of lawyers from out of town because we don't understand the "Humboldt way" of doing things.

If you don't question anyone who is okay with selective enforcement, selective treatment, the "Humboldt way", and who does not follow the rules that the rest of California and the nation does,you are the problem.
