Tarrio was released on O.R. but ordered D.C. Superior Court Magistrate Judge Renee Raymond to leave D.C. and stay away from D.C. until his next court appearance in June. Tarrio lives in Miami.
Tarrio asked the judge to only ban him from Black Lives Matter plaza near the White House, but that request was denied
Judge Raymond said that she did not believe that signs, banners and other personal property in support of the Black Lives Matter movement around the city would be safe if Tarrio was permitted in the city. Her decision was based on social media posts by Tarrio saying he would vandalize BLM signs and banners.
WTOP posted some of Tarrio's bragging on Parler.
In a Dec. 18 post on the online platform Parler, Tarrio wrote: “Against the wishes of my attorney I am here to admit that I am the person responsible for burning of this sign.”
