"This is Mr. Reavis' case"

Trial confirmation for murder suspect Gearold Sotolongo was scheduled for May 6. It was continued to May 13. Jury trial is scheduled for May 18.

While he is in custody, Sotolongo had racked up another charge, damaging jail property. I reported on it previously.

Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Tobias Hasler was present for the People.

For the last two cases Public Defender Marek Reavis appeared on the case. He is currently on admin leave. Today, Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield appeared for his office.

"This is Mr. Reavis' case," said Mr. Brownfield. "Roger wasn't sure of his trial schedule. We discussed a trial setting date."

Today's trial confirmation hearing was continued so Mr. Hasler could confirm with Mr. Rees.

Sotolongo has changed his appearance again, since he has been in custody, now he has a different haircut.
