Jeffrey Blanck hired her, Rory Kalin hired her and it would make sense if Dean Lotter hired former City Attorney Cyndy Day-Wilson. She is now in private practice.

I reached out to her. "I realize you cannot confirm or tell me if he is a client. But, if Dean Lotter has hired you and he or you wishes to say anything, I will print it verbatim."

Ms. Wilson said, "I can neither confirm nor deny."

If it turns out, she is Lotter's attorney, you heard it here first. If it turns out that Lotter has been terminated, again, I reported it first.

The City of Eureka still won't comment.
