Took over three years but finally assault suspect Clayton Lasinski jury trial confirmed today


Trial confirmation was scheduled for assault suspect Clayton Lasinski this morning. Jury trial scheduled for January 13 was confirmed.

Lasinski is charged with 16 counts, all resulting from him fleeing from a traffic spot and leading law enforcement on a chase all over town.

Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner is Lasinski's attorney.

  1. 3 plus years seems like a huge amount of time to wait for a trial. It's pretty obvious to me he's guilty but cant imagine if it was someone who was innocent ,that's a huge chunk of time to lose. I don't know how the judicial system works and whatnot, but I thought I'd toss in my 2 cents. I wish there was more comments from others on these articles. It would be interesting/entertaining to read. Thx as always for your reporting

    1. Thank you for your comment which is a good observation. As for the comments, I do moderate, I have removed the anonymous option due to the misuse and abuse by trolls and more people use and comment on Facebook. Comments are not always an indication of feedback. Many chose to do so in person or privately.
