If the weather cooperates, Humboldt power restoration maybe ahead of schedule

City of Eureka employees who worked all night were treated to a barbeque lunch today. There was a meeting at 12:30 today with City of Eureka, first responders and PG and E.

City Manager Greg Sparks said  if weather event in Redding ends sooner than anticipated, then Humboldt power restoration may be ahead of schedule. However, the City of Eureka officials do not want to give people false hopes so as of now, the official schedule for restoration is still noon tomorrow.

More EPD  patrol cars  will be out there tonight. Extreme weather warning tonight so shelters will be open for anyone.

If the weather subsides in Redding today, PG and E would have to fly the Bridgeville-Cottonwood transmission line at least two hours before dusk for Humboldt restoration to be ahead of schedule.

That is the same information from other sources.

Besides the Eureka City Manager, City Clerk Pam Powell, Director of Public Works Brian Gerving, Community Services Director Miles Slattery, EPD's Chief Steve Watson and Captain Brian Stephens and Humboldt Bay Fire Chief Sean Robertson were at the meeting.
