"The joinder is moot"

(Sosa)

(Garcia)
A hearing on a motion for a joinder requested by the District Attorney was scheduled on October 23 for Ariel Sosa and Miguel Garcia.

A joinder in criminal law refers to the inclusion of additional counts or additional defendants on an indictment. That defendant was Garcia. Details on alleged charges against both men are listed in previous post linked below.

Sosa is still MIA. Charges against Garcia were dismissed after he provided the DA's office with proof that he is employed and community service. "The joinder is moot," said Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm who was the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Jane Mackie has taken over the case.

Sosa's attorney is Mr. Russ Clanton. Mr. Ben Okin represents Garcia.
