If you missed the last press release on the Courts, here is a reminder
The PG&E public safety power shutdown that has affected Humboldt County (and many others), is expected to continue for the next several days and will continue to limit Court services to the public (as follows):
Only the 4th Street entrance to the courthouse will be open.
The Court Jury Services division will be open and available.
When individuals arrive for their scheduled court hearings, Court staff will be stationed inside the security 4th street security entrance and assist them.
Documents that must be filed can be placed in the drop box outside the Clerk’s office (421 “I” Street). Reminder, documents which require payment of a fee must have a check or money order included.
The Court’s phone services may be affected.
If you do not have urgent business with the Court, we ask that you wait until later in the week to come to the courthouse.
The second floor of the Courthouse (courtrooms), and third floor Court facilities are closed to the public.
**THE PUBLIC WILL BE NOTIFIED AS SOON AS POWER IS RESTORED AND THE COURT IS ABLE TO PROVIDE FULL SERVICES**
