"Because we have the food and because my crew needs to work," Sixth and E to open today

Owner and Chef Christine Silva kept Humboldt Soup Company open during the last PSPS and today Sixth and E will be open.

"Such uncertainty. So much conflict as to the balance of safety and sanity; risk and acceptable losses... During all this I've been paying close attention to the wind and been driven by two factors.
The safety of my food: Please be assured that for 3 days with the aid of generators and freezers our ingredients and food has been closely monitored and has remained at safe temperatures."

"The livelihood of my staff: Like many I am keenly aware that most of my team is reliant on their hourly income and the loss of even a couple days work can have a deep impact on their lives.
Because we have the food and because my crew needs to work. WE WIll OPEN TODAY .
