To help ensure public safety, Fortuna City Employees recover and dispose of used hypodermic syringes littered in the City of Fortuna.
Over the last month Fortuna City Employees have recovered large numbers of capped, unused hypodermic syringes littered and strewn about roadways throughout the city. It is apparent that these capped, unused hypodermic syringes are being intentionally littered and strewn throughout the City of Fortuna. The littered hypodermic syringes have been littered in commercial and residential areas throughout the city.
The Fortuna Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. If you observe anyone littering hypodermic syringes in the City of Fortuna to please immediately notify the Fortuna Police Department at (707) 725-7550.
If you locate hypodermic syringes littered in public, do not handle them. Please contact the Fortuna Police Department for assistance with safe disposal.
