On October 16, 2019 an Officer from the Eureka Police Department responded to a report of Sexual Battery that has occurred on Harrison Avenue. As a result of the investigation David Dues (32 years old from Eureka) was identified as the suspect.
On October 18, 2019 at about 10:04 a.m., Officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a motel in the 1100 block of 5th Street in Eureka to locate Dues. Dues was located in a room at the motel and subsequently taken into custody without incident.
Dues was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for felony Sexual Battery and probation violation. Additionally, Dues had a warrant for his arrest for failing to Register as a Sex Offender. Dues is currently being held without bond.
