DA files motion to compel discovery in case of alleged molestor who worked at local TV station



Motion to compel discovery in alleged molestor Mark Dare's case was filed by the District Attorney. The hearing on that motion scheduled on October 17 was continued by the defense October 18. The motion was granted.

Dare's alleged victims are his stepdaughters.
Dare previously worked at a local TV station. He is a member of the Seventh Day  Adventist church. His own wife, the alleged victims' mother, supports him and testified on his behalf at the preliminary hearing. She was not present at the September court hearing.

Dare is charged in Count 1 and 2 with oral copulation/penetration of a child under 10. Count 3 and 4 Recurring sexual conduct with a child under 14. Special allegation for Count 4 is substansial sexual conduct with a child under the age of 14.

Jury trial is scheduled for October 28.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Scaffer is the prosecutor for this case. Public Defender Marek Reavis is Dare's attorney.
