After closing jury instructions were read by Judge Lawrence Killoran, the jury which consists of 7 men and five women as well as two male alternate jurors heard closing arguments in Elhadji Ba's case for sexual battery with restraint.
The victim, Jasmine Covington, was present while Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads addressed the jurors but left the courtroom after Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J. Leohner made his opening remarks. Ba laughed during Ms. Eads' closing as she described Covington's injuries.
