Missing person found deceased in Garberville

On 10-22-2019, members of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Special Services Division and Search and Rescue Posse conducted a search of an area near the 3000 block of Sawmill Rd., in Garberville.



The search was conducted as part of a missing persons investigation involving a male subject, Kevin Exum, who had previously gone missing from the property.  During the search a deceased person was located. The Coroner’s Division has identified the decedent as Kevin Exum, age 60.

The case is still under investigation.
