Arizona woman booked for robbery and resisting arrest
On 10-03-2019 at 9:50 pm, officers of the Eureka Police Department were dispatched to a gas station at the 3500 block of Broadway for a report of a female inside demanding “all the money” from the store clerk.
After being denied by the store clerk, the suspect briefly left the store, but returned moments later. Upon her return, she had armed herself with a long orange roadway marker and held it in a threatening manner. The suspect then walked behind the counter and began grabbing packs of cigarettes. The suspect then fled the business.
An officer arrived on scene moments later and was directed to the rear of the business, being told that this was the location the suspect had fled. The officer located the suspect behind the store and attempted to stop her. The suspect continued to flee on foot toward Highland Street, then into the Fort Humboldt park property.
Once in the park, the suspect attempted to strike the officer. After a brief struggle and the deployment of OC spray, the suspect was taken into custody. She was transported to St. Joseph Hospital by City Ambulance for treatment of minor injuries and OC spray exposure. The suspect, identified as Adrianne Murphy (34 years old of Tucson, AZ), was taken into custody on charges of robbery and resisting arrest. She was soon booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and is being held on $45,000 bail.
