Jane Doe #1 : "I can play my dad, my mom and pretty much everyone"

Two very compelling opening statements in Chad Smith's jury trial today.

Jane Doe #2's father was in court.

New information presented today not mentioned in the preliminary hearing was that the prosecution will show porn obtained from Smith's electronics, Jane Doe #1's initial denial of the sexual abuse and defense saying that evidence will be presented that Jane Doe #1 had sexually explicit exchange with a 30 year man in England.

"I can play my dad, my mom and pretty much everyone" is what Jane Doe #1 said in the email exchange with this 30 year old man.

I was the only one at a 402 hearing and saw some information about the porn that will be presented by the People in this case. I wrote the post for Smith's first trial. Now that it will be used during trial and the jury has been selected, I am going to post my notes.

Six members of Bikers Against Child Abuse were un court today. Seven people including family members of either Jane Doe #1 and 2  and some spectators . One loudmouth smart ass  decided to snark during mid morning break in front of jurors. I recognize the guy and he made  a comment about the blog.

An alternate juror came up to me during break. I told her I could not talk to her.

For the jury trial, I will cover new information. Witnesses like Kimberly Schneider mostly speal about what the CAST interview process is like and Anthony Urquiza speaks in general about the Child Abuse Accomodation Syndrome. His testimony is basically the same and has been covered recently in the Mario Alexander case and the Cory Fisher case.
