Jane Doe #2's CAST interview reveals new information that supports defense theory

After playing Jane Doe #2's CAST interview for the jurors, Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads said the "People rest" in Chad Smith's alleged molestation case.

Jane Doe #2's CAST interview was pretty consistent with her preliminary hearing and jury trial testimony.

There was minor difference. She said she was "sexually harassed by my friend's stepfather."

Some new information learned from the CAST interview was Jane Doe #2 saying that Jane Doe #1 was mean and bullied her.

She said her mother was "creeped out" by Smith. Jane Doe #2 said the mothers wanted the two girls to talk. Jane Doe #1 did not tell Jane Doe #2 anything. Jane Doe #2 learned about the allegations regarding Jane Doe #1 from her mom.

In her opening statement, Ms. Andrea Sullivan said,"The allegations are a coordination between two families which led to the disclosure. "

Testimony from the defense's first witness further bolstered the coordination theory.
