Around 10:30 this morning, Old Town Officer Brian Ross initiated a field interview in the parking lot near 3rd and H. He searched a blue-green Dodge pickup. One occupant was detained in handcuffs. Two were arrested.
Jeffrey Newell and Steven Shockley were booked and released. Newell's charges included possession of a controlled substance.
Shockley's charges include possession of a dirk or dagger.
This is the parking lot behind Ray's, John Fullerton's office and Humboldt Honey Wine.
