Court congestion, last minute discovery and David Anderson's stubborness leads to rescheduling of his preliminary hearing

Preliminary hearing was scheduled this morning for convicted human trafficker David Anderson. Time estimate is 8 hours.

Despite "court congestion", Courtroom 6 was available after morning calendars today and tomorrow. Deputy Conflict Counsel Joe Judge told Judge Timothy Canning that his client would not waive a continuous preliminary.

Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer said some discovery regarding a SART exam was provided this morning to Mr. Judge.

Based on both the above reasons and Anderson having waived time, Anderson's preliminary hearing is on May 29. Intervention is May 22.  In addition to a second case that includes charges on human trafficking, Anderson also has case for violation of probation.
