A pre- preliminary offer will be made soon by the DA's office to Maziar Eshghipour; who has retained two well known private attorneys

Arraignment was completed just now for Maziar aka Michael Eshghipour. Mr. Patrik Griego and Mr. Greg Rael appeared in court with Esghipour.

Eshghipour is charged with four counts. Count 1: Insurance Fraud; Count 2: Fraudulent Alteration of a Medical Credential; Count 3 Fraudulent Use of an Altered Medical Credential and Practicing Medicine without Certification.


The alleged counts are from the time Eshghipour was at  Eel River Dental.

Esghipour appeared in court on July 24; continued to October 2. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Tobias Hasler, who specializes in insurance fraud crimes. Deputy DA Candace Myers appeared in court today for Mr. Hasler.

Mr. Rael entered pleas of not guilty to all counts on behalf of Eshghipour; reserving the right to demurrer. Time was waived and the defense requested a trial setting in 30 days.

Mr. Rael said that defense will contact the "prosecutor handling this case to resolve the case."

Ms. Myers did not object to the setting but said she wanted to inform the Court and defense that on the date of November 6, Mr.Hasler maybe in trial.  pre preliminary offer by the DA's office will be made soon.

The setting was scheduled as an intervention at 1:30 on November 6.
