DA charges sexual battery suspect and local transit driver Amos Nuckols with charges he was booked for and special allegation for a previous sexual conduct crime from Minnesota

On 9/24, the Humboldt County DA filed charges against sexual battery suspect and local transit driver Amos Nuckols. He was arraigned yesterday.

Bail is $750,000; Deputy District Attorney Buckley-Stein appeared on the case for the People; Public Defender's office appointed by Retired Judge Christopher Wilson; Nuckols ordered to stay away from alleged victim. He is charged with two felonies he was booked for and a special allegation for a previous conviction from Minnesota for criminal sexual conduct; first degree penetration.

As I mentioned in my previous post, he has several aliases and if his current address is correct, he lives in my neighborhood.

I would have had more information but since courts are closed tomorrow, the clerk told me the file is in transit to the judge for Monday. How many more holidays can California come up with so courts and government are closed more often?

**I did some extra work to verify addresses for Nuckols and in that research, he has  several traffic cases. Most citations list different vehicles;  Honda Civic, a Dodge Avenger, Dodge Caliber but in the most recent traffic citation case filed in July 2025 in which Nuckols entered a plea, the vehicle's registered owner is North Bay Transit. **More information maybe available next week at OR bail or if I can confirm through other valid sources. **DISCLAIMER**Do not jump to conclusions that Nuckols drives for North Bay Transit, I called the company and was told that the people I need to speak to are not available.
