John Chiv: Judge Elvine-Kreis assigned to Ray Christie case

Ray Christie's case has been reassigned to Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis for all purposes.

The link below is just one post on how chummy Judge Elvine-Kreis and Deputy Public Defender Adrian Kamada are. If you read my previous coverage, you know Mr. Kamada was the former prosecutor on the Christie case before he abruptly left the Humboldt D.A.'s office.

Prior to being a Judge, Elvine-Kreis was an attorney with Conflict Counsel Office.

This in addition to the current lawsuits filed by former Deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin against Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield.

The District Attorney's office has in the past filed a 170.6 to disqualify Judge Elvine-Kreis. Let's see what happens in this case.
