I referred to a couple of lawsuits in my December 4 post. Here is more information on two other lawsuits listed under closed session for tomorrow's meeting.
There is no paperwork available on either case in e court and with CV2101720, there hasn't even been a proof of service filed yet.
One case is incorrectly listed. Either the party or the case number but CV2101655 does not have Jackson associated with it at all. There is a CV2101653 and County of Humboldt is one respondent and the et al would be the others. I don't know if that is CV2101653 is the correct case but from the e court search, if there was a typo, that case comes closest.
CV2101720 is one of the existing lawsuits to be discussed in closed session at tomorrow's Humboldt Board of Supervisor's meeting. There is no proof of service filed yet and no date has been set.
The only Ian Hoffman I know is Dr. Ian Hoffman, the County Health Director. The only Paul Leslie in Humboldt I know is co-owner of Humboldt Honey Wine and Paul Leslie Appraisals. I confirmed with Paul Leslie that he did file the lawsuit.
"The writ of mandate is a type of extraordinary writ in the U.S. state of California. In California, certain writs are used by the superior courts, courts of appeal and the Supreme Court to command lower bodies, including both courts and administrative agencies, to do or not to do certain things."-- Wikipedia
