Allen MCloskey calls out Rex, Billy, mentions civil litigation, making state and federal mandated reports about burnt trailer at Trinidad Rancheria housing complex

Allen McCloskey just sent me this statement which is addressed to Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal. Their are several parties cced including the California Attorney General, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Trinidad Rancheria, Health and Human Services and McCloskey's counsel.

I am curious why Fifth District Supervisor Steve Madrone was not cced.

The statement was only emailed to me.

McCloskey has left a previous comment on my Facebook page on a post about Brett Watson. Here are his two comments and response.

McCloskey has not provided any evidence of the allegations he made in the two Facebook comments. I responded to him and called him out and asked for evidence.  He didn't provide any.

Considering my previous coverage of McCloskey which includes me being the first to report on his recent arrest and only one to report on his family law case; McCloskey chosing to share this statement with me shows, once again, that this is the one local media source people go to when they want news reported about the power structure and the established in Humboldt County.

It is only one example of many local people who understand I do my job and what is considered real journalism. There are many who I have reported on who are friendly and respectful.

My publishing McCloskey's statement is not an endorsement or agreeing with what is in his statement; it is simply giving McCloskey a chance to have a voice as I have many others.

The last I checked, no charges had been filed against McCloskey for this recent arrest.

I don't do selective news coverage and I certainly do not ignore news because I know/knew or associated with someone in the past.

And for that, I pay and have paid a hefty price in this dirty, corrupt, local, Humboldt connected town.

The state bureaucrats are no better. They talk the talk but ignore tribal issues, racism, sexism, corruption, injustice and abuse of power in courts and government. The state does not investigate many complaints unless it is someone connected or it is politically beneficial.

Let's see if any positive change comes from McCloskey's statement to benefit Native American Children.
