According to the court grapevine, Humboldt Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward wants to run for Judge. If true, that would be a change for the Humboldt bench.
Most of the Judges appointed since the retirement of Judge Marilyn Miles, Judge Timothy Cissna, Judge Dale Reinholtsen and Judge John Feeney have been defense attorneys. Some were also former prosecutors.
Mr. Steward is the prosecutor for the Ray Christie case.
