Arcata Mayor Brett Watson was scheduled to be arraigned on September 13. He is charged with four counts and a special allegation.
Count 1 is VC 23152 (a) DUI. Count 2 is VC 23152 (b) DUI. Count 2 has a special allegation VC 23578 of BAC .15 or over.
VC 23152(a) makes it unlawful for a person who is under the influence of any alcoholic beverage to drive a vehicle. VC 23152(b) prohibits driving with a blood alcohol content of . 08% or greater.
Count 3 is HS 11350 (a) possession of controlled substance. Count 4 is HS 11364 (a) possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
