Stephanie Grisham, Melania Trump's Chief of Staff has resigned, effectively immediately. This is in response to today's violent protests at the U. S. Capitol. Also resigning today for the same reason, White House Social Secretary Anna Cristina “Rickie” Niceta and White House press aide Sarah Matthews.
Washington Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers, a Republican, said she would no longer object to the Electoral College vote.
The Arizona objection debate will continue members of Congress reconvene.
The Hill reports many GOP senators are urging their colleagues to drop the their objections to additional Electoral College results from Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Jeh Johnson, former United States Secretary of Homeland Security, in an interview with ABC News' Linsey Davis had very strong words for Trump and called it insurrection.
