Exhibit 3 from Ray Christie trial including details about juror #5 unsealed and will be provided to attorneys

Trial setting and hearing on three defense motions in Ray Christie's case had been continued to January 5. Attorneys needed more time for than Judge Christopher Wilson had set aside this morning so the hearing on two motions has been specially set for January 22.

The motion to unseal Exhibit # 3 of the jury note was granted today.

The hearing on January 22 will address a supplemental motion to clarify a discovery motion and a motion to dismiss wbich has to do with double jeopardy.

Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward and Deputy DA David Moutrie are prosecutors for the case. Mr. Moutrie was in court today.

Mr. Moutrie needs "15 minutes or less" and then time to respond to defense.

Mr. John Cogorno and Mr. Ken Bareilles are Christie's attorneys. Mr. Cogorno and Christie appeared via Zoom.

Mr. Cogorno needs 30 minutes. An hour and ahalf has been set aside. This time frame could change now that Exhibit 3 has been unsealed.

Mr. Cogorno brought up the motion to unseal this morning. Judge Wilson said, "Didn't I order it unsealed?"

Judge Wilson said he had sealed Exhibit #3 because "it revealed the inner workings" of jury deliberations. "The Court admonished the jury about what not to do. Juror #5 went into detail. There are three notes in Exhibit 3."

"Once we got through the trial, I didn't have a problem with Exhibit #3 being disclosed to both sides." Judge Wilson ordered today that Exhibit 3 be unsealed and provided to counsel.

Linked below are some of the posts from the trial. Two posts from December 16, 2019 will provide some context.

I had overhead Juror # 11 in the Courthouse cafe tell the owner, " Today might be the last day. We got in trouble again. The Judge likes to spank us."

Juror #5 had been discharged. She too spoke in public and after she had been discharged. Following the law was an issue and with Exhibit 3 unsealed, maybe we will get more details.
