At trial confirmation for kidnapping, robbery and assault suspect Franklin Molin this morning, defense requested a further trial confirmation which is scheduled for August 20. Jury trial is scheduled for September 8.
Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is Molina's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Whitney Timm appeared on the case for the People today.
Mr. Russo said that there were several reasons for another trial confirmation. There was new discovery that "Mr. Timm is working on" and "there is an issue of expert availability" that "might necessitate a 1050."
