Further trial confirmation for murder suspect Gearold Sotolongo was continued to this morning. Defense intends to file a motion to continue the jury trial currently set for September 14. That motion will be heard at trial assignment on September 11.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Trent Timm appeared on the case today for the People.
Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian is Sotolongo's attorney.
In addition to his 2016 homicide case, he had two 2019 cases on calendar.
Until something significant happens, I will either add updates to this post or have no update.
