Case dismissed against Rita, her son pleads guilty to 2019 case, probation revoked and reinstated in two other cases
Further setting and possible change of plea was scheduled for Robert Fregoso and Rita Pimentel was continued to this morning. Fregoso also has two other cases. The plea deal went through today.
In the 2019 case, Fregoso is charged with with one count of worker's compensation fraud and one count of failure to secure worker's compensation insurance.
In that same case, Pimentel is charged with one count failure to secure worker's compensation insurance.
Fregoso two other cases are for alleged violation of parole in his 2017 and 2018 misdemeanor DUI cases.
Pimentel is represented by Mr. David Nims and her son Robert Fregoso is represented by Ms. Heidi Holmquist Wells.
Case against Pimentel was dismissed. Fregoso pleaded no contest to the 2019 case. He was not placed on probation in that case. Fregoso was given the standard misdemeanor fine. He admitted probation violation on his two cases. Probation was revoked and reinstated. The extension to his probation was from November 4, 2019 to today.
Deputy District Attorney David Moutrie is the prosecutor for the case.
