No motion to continue filed yet so for now, dates for convicted human trafficker's jury trial remain as set

Another trial confirmation was scheduled this morning for convicted human trafficker David Anderson.

Defense has yet not filed a motion to continue so the next court date is trial assignment on August 14.

Mr. Michael Acosta is Anderson's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is the prosecutor for the case.

Today, Mr. Acosta told Judge Timothy Canning, "he is behind schedule and will file a written motion today to be heard on Friday."

At the last court hearing, Mr. Acosta said he wanted to meet with Anderson to discuss a limited time waiver and a motion to continue to "prep" for the case.

Mr. Acosta had said he planned to file a 995 motion regarding Court 1 and a motion to continue.

Ms. Eads requested information before the written motion to continue so she could discuss with the alleged victim.

Anderson is charged in Count 1 with PC 236.1 (c) 2, human sex trafficking  trafficking of a minor by force or violence.  Special allegation of great bodily injury during the commission of the crime and a prior conviction for human trafficking, PC 236.1 (4) (c)

Count 2 and 3 are Rape by force/violence/duress PC 261(a) (2)

Count 4 is forcible sodomy of a minor, PC 286 (c) (2)

Count 5 Forcible oral copulation of a minor, PC 288 (a) (c) (2)
